Is Prego private? Your privacy questions, answered

Does Prego share or sell my data?
No. Prego doesn't share, sell or rent your data to anyone. It can't: your pregnancy information never leaves your iPhone, so we never have it.
Where is my data stored?
Only on your iPhone, in Prego's private storage. Prego's Home Screen widgets read from the same on-device storage. Nothing is sent to our servers; Prego doesn't have any.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up, email address or password. You just open the app and start.
Does Prego have ads or trackers?
No. Prego has no ads and no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. If you installed Prego from one of our ads, Apple's privacy-preserving SKAdNetwork may tell the ad network, anonymously and in aggregate, that an install happened. It never includes who you are or anything you enter.
Can anyone see my pregnancy journal or photos?
Only people with access to your unlocked iPhone. Journal entries and photos stay on your device. You choose photos with the iOS photo picker, and Prego only receives the ones you pick.
Does Prego use AI on my journal?
On supported iPhones, Prego can use Apple's on-device intelligence to recognize symptoms you write about, so it can show a relevant tip. This happens entirely on your iPhone. The text is never sent anywhere, and the model never writes advice of its own.
What about my subscription?
Subscriptions are handled by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. Apple only tells the app whether your subscription is active.
Is my data backed up?
If you back up your iPhone to iCloud or a computer, Apple includes Prego's data in that backup, protected under Apple's own security and privacy policy. That is how your data moves to a new iPhone.
Could my data be handed over to anyone?
We can't hand over data we don't have. Because your information is stored only on your iPhone, there is nothing for us to disclose to a company, an advertiser or a government request.
How do I delete everything?
In Prego, go to Settings → Reset All Data. This permanently erases everything in the app. Deleting the app also deletes its data from your iPhone.
Does this website track me?
No cookies are used to track you. The site may use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies or personal profiles. The calculators run in your browser, and what you type stays there.
